Όταν στέλνεις μία επιστολή, οι υπεύθυνοι πολιτικοί, οι υπεύθυνοι επαγγελματίες, απαντάνε άμεσα, και διορθώνουν τα λάθη τους. Τιμούν τη σχέση που έχουν με τους πολίτες και με τους καταναλωτές.
Κάθε φορά που στέλνουμε ένα γράμμα, ένα e-mail σε κάποιον Υπουργό, σε κάποιον διευθυντή επιχείρησης, σε κάποια εταιρία, και δε παίρνουμε απάντηση ας το θυμόμαστε το παράδειγμα που ακολουθεί, και αυτοί ας θυμούνται πώς ξέρουμε και καλύτερα.

H Amazon μετά τις επιστολές σε αυτήν και στη Διεθνή Oλυμπιακή Eπιτροπή, από χθες κιόλας απέσυρε τα καπελάκια και τις μπλούζες που είχαν τους Oλυμπιακούς κύκλους και την ένδειξη "Bόρεια Kύπρος" από την ιστοσελίδα της.
H αλήθεια είναι πως πέρα από τους προφανείς λόγους, πρότεινα γράμματα σε Διεθνή Oλυμπιακή Eπιτροπή και έστειλα e-mailστην Amazon για να δείξω τη διαφορά μεταξύ σοβαρών επαγγελματιών οι οποίοι απαντούν σε επιστολές και αναλαμβάνουν δράση , και ανεπαρκών ερασιτεχνών, είτε στο χώρο της πολιτικής, είτε στο χώρο της δημοσιογραφίας, είτε στο χώρο του αθλητισμού, είτε στο χώρο των επιχειρήσεων, οι οποίοι όχι απλώς δεν γνωρίζουν πώς να υπηρετήσουν τα αξιώματα που κατέχουν, αλλά δε γνωρίζουν ούτε πώς να υπηρετήσουν καν τα συμφέροντά τους.
Δείτε την ανταλλαγή e-mails με την Amazon. H Amazon που φυσικά δε μπορεί να με βρει σαν "Mr. DeMasame Re" […] στους πελάτες του, δε κρύβεται αν και ξέρει ότι πιθανά είναι ψευδώνυμο αυτό το οποίο χρησιμοποιώ. Ξέρει ότι από πίσω υπάρχει ένας πελάτης, ή ένας εν δυνάμει πελάτης. Σίγουρα πίσω από την επιστολή κρύβεται κάποιος που θα διηγηθεί την ιστορία, σε κάποιους ακόμα, και αυτοί θα νοιώσουν εμπιστοσύνη απέναντι στην εταιρία.
Mια εμπιστοσύνη που σαν πολίτες, ή σαν πελάτες δεν μπορούμε να νοιώσουμε για πολλούς από όσους αυτή τη στιγμή βρίσκονται σε θέση ευθύνης στο τόπο μας. Όμως δεν απελπίζομαι καθόλου. Γιατί έρχεται η ώρα που θα ζητάμε τον τελικό λογαριασμό.

It came to my attention that a certain vendor sells t-shirts with the Olympic emblem at Amazon.com combining them with the name "Northern Cyprus".
As far as I am concerned, the only recognized National Olympic Committee is the one of the Republic of Cyprus. There is no recognized entity such as "North Cyprus" nor there is such a national Olympic Committee belonging to the IOC.
Selling t-shirts under this name is a blatant misuse of the Olympic brand, and it is deeply offensive to the National Olympic Committees of Cyprus and Greece.
I trust that Amazon.com will act immediately to protect against brand theft, especialy of the Olympic brand.
I am looking forward to receiving a reply from your office on the subject.

The issue of illegal use of the Olympic circles, is a serious matter.
You just need to check with the International Olympic Committee in Lausane, or simply your lawyer. I am a long time customer and I appreciate your immediate feedback.
I have also raised the issue with the committee. I propose that you suspend sales of the disputed items from your site until the issue is resolved.
By not doing so you may be unintentionally breaking the law.
